Slow Food Columbia is one of 200+ Slow Food USA chapters, located in Columbia, South Carolina. Our mission is to support the movement behind GOOD, CLEAN and FAIR foodways in the Midlands and beyond. Our convivium hosts workshops, potlucks and other events throughout the year to celebrate local + seasonal flavors; to showcase the culinary talents of our region's chefs, farmers, + artisan producers; to strengthen connections between members of our local food community; and to educate the public about the importance of knowing where your food comes from.

Help us send the DuBards to Terra Madre

Kristen and Ben DuBard are two of our convivium's founding members. They are the owners and operators of Five Leaves Farm, a successful CSA farm located in Blythewood, SC. They are wonderful people who are sincerely dedicated to the Slow Food movement, so when they applied to attend the world food event, Terra Madre which takes place in Turin, Italy in October, they were of course accepted as delegates!



We are thrilled for them and now have some work ahead of us to develop a fund raiser to help send them to Terra Madre. Please consider making a contribution to the "Send the DuBards to Terra Madre" fund. Just click on the blue button over to the right and you can make a donation online.
