Plant an Extra Row for Harvest Hope!

As The State newspaper recently reported, Harvest Hope Food Bank is asking everyone with home gardens to plant an extra row for those in need of food. When it's ready for harvest, you can donate it to a local food bank like Harvest Hope!

In today's economic climate, this is an excellent, affordable way to give back to the community! Slow Food Columbia encourages everyone planning and planting their gardens this season to add an extra row.

This is my first attempt at "major" gardening, but hope to be able to share tomatoes, green peppers and squash. Is there a minimum amount?
